Forty-two tragic years

Thursday, Jan. 22 marks 42 years since the Supreme Court of the United States issued their ruling that launched the legalization of abortion in America. Since that time an estimated 57 million children have been denied the right to life. The Biblical Recorder continues to remember this tragic milestone of civilization through many stories we have posted on BRnow.org.

The Larry Lewis story, "How Southern Baptists became pro-life," is revealing. It shows the power of influence as one man lives his convictions and works to change the direction of a whole denomination. Read this story and many others on related sanctity of life issues. For resources on the subject visit our special Sanctity of Life page.

The story of Ergun Caner's resignation from Brewton-Parker College is tragic. Please pray for this man and his family as they heal from deep wounds through the loss of their son. My heart hurts for this man and his family.

The resources that you and your church need to stay informed are on BRnow.org. Be sure your brothers and sisters in Christ know about us. We are here to serve you and strengthen both your walk and witness for Jesus.

Have you reserved Feb. 23 for the 'One Story’ disciple-making event?
