Pray for AiG, BOD, ISIS

In October 2013, Pam and I enjoyed a day with Ken Ham, president of Answers in Genesis (AiG), as he showed us around the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Ky. He was very excited about the progress of the Ark Encounter theme park project in nearby Williamstown, Ky. Heavy machinery began grading the park last August with an expected completion in 2016.

In December Kentucky officials caved to anti-Christian protesters and reversed their decision to offer tax incentives for the Ark project. This week we reported that AiG plans to file a lawsuit against Kentucky and certain government officials. This is another important legal case that Christian ministries will be watching carefully. The attempt to marginalize Christians is marching on. Pray for the attorneys who represent this case.

Take time to learn who has been elected to lead the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina’s board of directors and executive committee. Baptists are moving forward to impact lostness in our state and world. That is cause for spiritual battles. We should expect no less than evil opposition. Pray for your leaders and encourage them.

Speaking of opposition, daily headlines are underscoring the savagery of sin. With the burning alive of a Jordanian pilot, the inexcusable evil of ISIS is obvious – unless a person has no sense of moral decency. Pray for the salvation of people of all man-made religions around the world. Pray for our missionaries. Be a missionary to the lost around you.

I hope you are holding Feb. 23 for the 'One Story’ conference! I am excited to see how God will use this meeting to change lives for eternity!
