High Hopes for 'My Hope'

Without question Billy Graham has been one of the most influential people in the history of the Christian church. While some of the impact of his life has been measured and reported, I believe there is much that is immeasurable.

He has been a voice of profound proclamation of the gospel around the world. Others have been uniquely influential in the spread of the gospel, but there is not one who compares to the influence, integrity, passion and consistency of Billy Graham.

Several generations have been profoundly blessed to know him and partner with him in the work of the Kingdom. While he has physical limitations in his advanced years, by the grace of God we are blessed that he is still with us. God is not finished with him yet.

Next year, as Graham celebrates his 95th birthday, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association will launch a unique nationwide effort to proclaim the gospel in our homes. Using modern technology, we will be able to invite neighbors into our homes and share the gospel through messages provided by Graham and his team under the banner "My Hope with Billy Graham."

Is this God’s last call to America? I don’t know, but I do know that God will use "My Hope" to bring thousands – perhaps millions – to Christ. Read the full story written by the Recorder’s Managing Editor, Shawn Hendricks.

This is a work of God! We need to pray and give ourselves completely to "My Hope." I’m glad to report that the leadership of your N.C. Baptist State Convention is on board. I’m excited to see what God will do!
