Ministry is teamwork

In 1830 the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina was established by Baptist pastors who realized the great need for churches to work together. They saw the value of learning together, fellowshipping together, doing missions together and impacting their culture together. They were not able to do their ministries in isolation. Ministry is teamwork.

Three years later the Biblical Recorder was founded by one of those Baptist pastors. In other words, it did not take long for church leaders to realize that communication was essential to their mission. It still is. Today there are many communication platforms, and accessibility to these tools make it easier to spread our message. But the need for news-gathering organizations is still strong.

Pastors, church staff and church leaders have a lot on their plate. They don’t have time to find all of the news that relates to their calling. That is the reason the Recorder staff serves you. We are your team, gathering the news and information that relates to the ministries your church supports.

In last week’s print edition of the Biblical Recorder I shared some ways all of your church family can benefit by receiving the Recorder. If you have not read my comments yet, please take a moment to read this editorial now. Does your church have a group subscription plan that allows more of your congregation to stay up to date on vital information that supports your church’s mission? We are your team. Let us serve your church family. They need to know!

Thank you for the privilege of serving together for the glory of God. I hope you will read the important stories in the print edition, the digital edition and on the website. Thank you for subscribing to the BRweekly.
