Reporting God's handiwork

Your Biblical Recorder staff is always happy to see another print edition completed and mailed to our readers. The stories and columns we put in each issue show God’s hand at work in our state and around the world. It is exciting that we get to be part of telling the good news about our Father’s handiwork. We also enjoy seeing how God uses so many of our fellow Baptists to bring glory to His name.

So, we’re pleased to get this week’s print edition in your hands and in the hands of everyone in your church family. As this edition of the BRweekly shows, there’s a lot of interesting material to read. Several pastors are headlined for long term ministry, refocusing on a church plant or moving his family to Africa.

Other stories report the ways God has led lay leaders to involvement in ministry to immigrants and multifamily outreach strategies. The Recorder is always packed with interesting news and information. Please be sure the spiritual lives of your whole church family is strengthened through the BR.

As this email goes out, tropical storm Gordon moves toward the Gulf Coast states with “life threatening” strength and certain property damage. Pray for our brothers and sisters in the storm’s path and the ministry many of them will have with their neighbors. Remember, disaster relief organizations like North Carolina’s Baptists on Mission work all year long in preparation for ministry in times and places like this. Support the North Carolina Missions Offering so disaster relief workers can do their job.

Thank you also for your support of the Biblical Recorder's ministry and our advertisers.
