Military Chaplains are essential

Most Americans are quite proud of those who serve in our military. We should be! These men and women train extensively to protect us and our values from foreign intrusions. They risk their lives for us, and, as we know, many die or are seriously injured in their heroic sacrifice.

Chaplains are essential to the spiritual and emotional health of our troops. Anyone who lives under the pressures these men and women regularly face are sure to need spiritual counsel. Sadly, while we are being protected from foreign intrusion, someone within our own government seems to be inviting harm to our troops through unnecessary restrictions on chaplains. This is a serious threat to the spiritual and emotional health of our military personnel, and an invasion of American freedoms.

Read the story about the challenges our chaplains face. Pray for them and contact your congressional representatives to let them know you support our chaplains.

Next week we will launch the digital edition of the Biblical Recorder. Watch for more information in the next edition of the Recorder and on our website. We hope you will be a faithful subscriber.
