SEND made a difference

There’s been a lot of chatter about last week's SEND North America conference in Dallas. It was a very successful event for church planters and established churches that want to connect with new church plants. The attendance almost doubled last year’s outstanding SEND event in Woodstock, Ga. The plan is for SEND conferences to be held in multiple locations next year, making it easier for more church leaders to be involved.

This event is worth your attention. The trend shows promise for attendance that outpaces the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention. SEND is meeting a great need. I’m thankful that the leaders of the North American Mission Board are keeping their fingers on the pulse of Kingdom-focused church planting.

A quiet, but significant change occurred on our website last Saturday. The site was down a little over an hour to transition to a new level of technology on BRnow.org. This is a step that has been in development for almost six months. The term for this new technology is "responsive design."

Most visitors will not notice the change if you are working from a desktop computer. But those with smart phones and tablet devices will quickly notice that BRnow.org adjusts our web content to a size that is best suited for your device. Rather than reducing a whole web page to the size of your small device, responsive design enlarges the content and stacks it so you can easily scroll and read. Very few websites are using this technology, so we are excited to be on the cutting edge to deliver web content to you efficiently.

Also, we are excited about the new digital online version of the printed Biblical Recorder. I hope you will take time to check it out and consider the options that are best for you. Click here to read about all of the options for receiving your Biblical Recorder.

We are here to provide trusted news and information because people need to know!
