Seth Brown

Executive Editor

Seth Brown began working at the Biblical Recorder in February 2015 as content editor. In 2019, he was elected by the board of directors to lead the organization as executive editor. Prior to working at the Recorder, he was a researcher and copy editor for Docent Research Group, as well as the owner of a small graphic design business.

Seth received a master of arts degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest and a bachelor of arts degree from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Brown and his wife, Lauren, are natives of Mississippi. They have three children and live in Wake Forest. He is also a lay pastor at Imago Dei Church in Raleigh.

Dianna L. Cagle

Assistant Editor

Dianna Cagle

Dianna Cagle started working at the Recorder in May 2006 after finishing a two-year term as a North American Mission Board US/C-2 missionary in Lexington, S.C.
 

A native of Birmingham, Ala., Cagle earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and history from The University of Alabama. Since college, she has worked at The Union-Recorder in Milledgeville, Ga., The Decatur Daily in Decatur, Ala., and the Birmingham Post-Herald in Birmingham. She has also worked at The Alabama Baptist as a copy editor, reporter, photographer and page designer.
 

As a US/C-2 missionary, Cagle also wrote articles for The Baptist Courier, South Carolina’s Baptist news journal. She served with the Lexington Baptist Association and its churches while directing the Christian Ministry Center, a non-profit ministry that aids in food, clothing and financial assistance for 11 zip codes surrounding Batesburg-Leesville, S.C.
 

Cagle is a graduate of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest with a master of divinity degree in biblical counseling. She lives in Cary and is a member of First Baptist Church in Cary.

Liz Tablazon

Assistant Editor

Liz Tablazon returned to join the Biblical Recorder staff in July 2015 as circulation and social media manager, having previously served as editorial aide in 2013. In 2019 she became assistant editor. Liz earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May 2015. 
 
Liz was born in the Philippines and moved to the U.S. in 1999. She grew up active in church planting, as her family served two churches in Union, N.J. and Winston-Salem, N.C.
 
She manages all of the Recorder’s digital platforms, including social media, developing unique strategies to effectively engage readers.
 
Tablazon is a member of Imago Dei Church. She enjoys writing, traveling and music.

Alison McKinney

Alison M. McKinney

Alison McKinney began her career with the Biblical Recorder in October 1998. As business and advertising manager, Alison is often the first voice you’ll hear when calling the Recorder's office. She helps maintain the editor’s calendar and correspondence, works with the BR Board of Directors, sells and schedules advertising, and assists with general inquiries about the various media tools of the Recorder.
 

Prior to joining the Recorder staff, Alison worked for the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina in congregational services.
 

Originally from Sanford, McKinney grew up as a member of Jonesboro Heights Baptist Church. She currently lives in Apex with her son Nathan. She has an adult daughter, Catherine, and two grandsons. Alison is a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Apex.
 

She has an associate’s degree in business management from Randolph Community College.
