Some of the best news hasn't happened yet

News is generally considered to be something that happened in the past – two minutes ago or two centuries ago. But sometimes the best news points to something in the future.

I know you are busy, so I am going to help you out here. It is hard enough to keep up with your church schedule, so maybe you missed some very important news about opportunities for missions, discipleship, connecting, training, encouragement and great worship. Do you know about these three big "happenings"? This is a last-minute call. Read on...

1. North Carolina Baptist Aging Ministry (NCBAM) has a new outreach for Baptist ministers 65 or older (retired or still serving). Faith Quest: Exploring Uncharted Territory will be held March 25 in Winston-Salem at the Hawthorne Inn & Conference Center. Sandy Gregory, director of NCBAM, said, "It can be challenging as you age in ministry. We want to bless and encourage North Carolina’s finest – our beloved pastors, music ministers and others who have faithfully offered themselves in service to God’s people." Call (877) 506-2226 to register for the event or for more information.

2. Ladies: "Serving As Designed" is the theme of the ONLY Embrace women’s ministry training this year. It will be April 11-12 at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest. Keep praying and giving to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions. The vast lostness you see in North America is real – it is not your imagination. The gospel is the only answer for real problems.
