The Biblical Recorder’s editor, Allan Blume, is taking a deserved vacation this week. So, in his absence, it is my privilege to introduce you to some of our top stories, along with his helpful editorial, “Will freedom of religion prevail?

Don’t forget about Mother’s Day on Sun., May 10. Many Christians know about the long line of men in church history that boldly proclaimed the Word of God, but have you heard about their godly mothers who “sang the truth of Christ?” Read also the touching reflections of an adoptive mother.
 
Important announcements keep rolling in about this year’s Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) annual meeting. The yearly event is a vital part of the life of our denomination.
