Pray for SBC annual meeting

In less than two weeks, Columbus, Ohio, will be teeming with Baptists. I believe this year's convention will be historic in many ways. But my prayer is that history will say Southern Baptists experienced a mighty move of God that launched spiritual awakening across America. It can happen! But it will not happen apart from prayer. Whether you are going to Columbus or not, please pray daily that God will demonstrate His presence at the meeting. Please pray for these Baptist leaders by name:
  •   Ronnie Floyd, SBC president
  •   Frank Page, CEO, Executive Committee
  •   David Platt, president, International Mission Board
  •   Kevin Ezell, president, North American Mission Board
  •   O.S. Hawkins, president, GuideStone Financial Resources
  •   Thom Rainer, president, LifeWay Christian Resources
  •   Wanda Lee, executive director, Woman’s Missionary Union
  •   Russell Moore, president, Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission
  •   Daniel Akin, president, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary
  •   Jason Allen, president, Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
  •   Jeff Iorg, president, Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary
  •   Chuck Kelley, president, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary
  •   Albert Mohler, president, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
  •   Paige Patterson, president, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary

In this week's editorial I shared my personal lament over the recent announcement from Robert Gates, national president of Boy Scouts of America (BSA). I hope the editorial will prompt many to pray for the organization's leaders. It is a sad day for BSA and for America.
