Why we are pro-life

Some of the social issues we battle may appear to simply be political differences. But those who take the Bible seriously do not view abortion and related pro-life issues as mere political matters. These are moral convictions that civilized societies must live out or face destruction. The public conversation about the sanctity of life needs some clear voices to explain the biblical position. J.D. Greear has risen to the task.

In a special BR feature, Greear, pastor of The Summit Church in Durham, wrote a column that responds to the most common objections thrown at Christians who stand up for the sanctity of life. We published the article in last week’s print edition of the Biblical Recorder. I want to call this to your attention again because the material he shares can be a great help to you and others in your church family as you observe Sanctity of Human Life Sunday this weekend. Take a copy of the article to your Bible study group. I believe your friends will thank you!
