It's Super Bowl week!

The Super Bowl gets a lot of attention! How’s that for an understatement? Super Bowl’s hype builds throughout the NFL season as each team touts the contest as their ultimate target. Two teams hit that annual target and are now set to play their best game. This year the New England Patriots (again) and the Los Angeles Rams will face each other in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium this Sunday, February 3.

Most football fans are only aware of Sunday’s game – not the week-long activities in Atlanta that precede the game. The week is filled with dinners, contests, street events and a sea of vendors. Less visible are the underground activities of gambling, human trafficking and prostitution.

I’m thankful that the witness of the gospel is also an intentional activity throughout Super Bowl week and during Sunday’s game. Many local churches and international ministries are faithfully sharing the gospel, handing out gospel literature and confronting the ungodly works of evil. So, we need to pray for those who are ministering in Atlanta this week and pray for those who need to know the forgiveness of sin and released from it’s grip. Pray!
I’m also thankful for churches who have the vision and passion to use the Super Bowl to reach their neighbors for Christ. What’s your plan?

Have a great weekend of worship and outreach!
