Following what has been called “the worst kept secret in the SBC,” Ronnie Floyd was elected by the SBC Executive Committee as the CEO of the Southern Baptist Convention. Tuesday afternoon’s vote ended the year-long search following Frank Page’s resignation last spring. The search committee was unanimous in their recommendation, but the EC vote fell one-short of being unanimous.
Whether or not Floyd is the one you hoped to fill the post, it’s time for Southern Baptists to get behind him, pray for him and work together for the proclamation of the gospel worldwide. I like Dave Miller’s perspective
on the SBC Voices blog. Bart Barber
also shared his perspective on Floyd’s election to the SBC presidency in 2014
