The gospel on display

The leading article in this week's newsletter is an interview with Costi Hinn, written by one of the Biblical Recorder's freelance reporters, Maina Mwaura. You don't want to miss this Q&A. Hinn is the nephew of well-known televangelist Benny Hinn and a former proponent of "health and wealth" theology.

The prosperity gospel is a plague on many communities across North Carolina. Take note of Costi Hinn's words when he says, "We need to reach people with the truth because souls are at stake."

You will also want to read the uplifting obituary of Southeastern Seminary's "Mr. Eugene." A longtime staffer at the seminary, Mr. Eugene impacted many students and faculty through his genuine love for the Lord and love for others.

September is right around the corner, and it's a great time to tell your church about the North Carolina Missions Offering. Hear what Milton Hollifield has to say about this important effort to ensure the gospel is spread from one end of the state to the other.

We're here to serve you, so don't hesitate to give us a call or send an email with story tips or leads.
