Ride to Clyde raises record $55K for children’s homes

Evangelism professor Alvin Reid resigns at Southeastern

Alvin Reid has resigned from the faculty of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS), citing “personal and spiritual issues.” Reid, 59, SEBTS senior professor of evangelism and student ministry, stated on his website May 21, “I have resigned from teaching and public ministry to address personal and spiritual issues in my life.”

Moss accepts Missouri Baptist disaster relief position

Harris unseats U.S. Rep. Pittenger in N.C. GOP primary

Mark Harris, former pastor in Charlotte, unseated incumbent Robert Pittenger in North Carolina's 9th District Republican primary election May 8 for the U.S. House of Representatives. Harris, who is also a former president of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, ran against Pittenger in 2016 for the same seat but lost by a slim margin.
