    A two-hour “Holy Ghost revival” was in progress in Jimmy Stewart’s office not long after he returned to work at the Alaska Baptist Convention earlier this year. A small group of ministers and friends were praising God for answering their prayers and healing Stewart from a July, 2016, gas leak explosion at his rural Alaskan cabin.

    Suffering third-degree burns over 80 percent of his body, Alaska Baptist evangelism and church growth director Jimmy Stewart is hospitalized and grateful for prayers after being injured in a gas leak explosion at his Alaska cabin. Nearly two weeks after the explosion, Stewart is talking, able to walk and in good spirits.

    NORTH POLE, Alaska – Messengers to the 66th annual meeting of the Alaska Baptist Convention reduced their 2012 budget by 14.6 percent. The convention approved a $1.8 million budget for next year with an anticipated $720,322 in Cooperative Program receipts from the 100 churches in the state.
