    Immigration is one of America’s greatest issues of our time: noisy, divisive and politically charged. But all that buzz fell away this summer when four North Carolinians journeyed from Arizona across the U.S./Mexico border into Nogales, Mexico. At the border, the four talked with scores of people – almost all families – who were waiting to get into the United States.

    N.C. Baptists launch immigrant ministry centers

    The Baptist State Convention of North Carolina is launching a new initiative that will provide legal help to immigrants concerning U.S. immigration laws and facilitate outreach opportunities for churches. Baptist Immigrant Services, led by Hispanic strategy coordinator Amaury Santos and immigrant ministries strategist Larry Phillips, will operate offices across the state.
