    Hankins announces retirement plans

    David Hankins, executive director of the Louisiana Baptist Convention (LBC), announced his plans to retire Nov. 12 during the pre-convention meeting of the convention’s Executive Board in Ruston, La. “At the close of this annual meeting, I will be giving Dr. Bailey, president of the Executive Board, official notice of my intention to retire,” said Hankins.

    Southern Baptists returning from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, are sharing testimonies of widespread revival in churches, communities, prisons and schools, following an 8-day schedule of crusades, medical ministries and other outreach efforts in this South American country. Wayne Jenkins said there were a recorded 3,202 salvation decisions.

Tullos said the latest animated video seeks to spotlight the Cooperative Program’s reach, using a child’s dream to tell the story.
