    New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary President Charles S. “Chuck” Kelley Jr., announced his plan to retire at the end of the current academic year during Founders’ Day chapel Oct. 2.     After much discussion and debate, the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina’s (BSC) Board of Directors approved an amended Cooperative Program (CP) budget proposal for 2019 totaling $31 million during the board’s fall meeting held Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 24-25 at Caraway Conference Center and Camp in Sophia, N.C.
