This is the third in a
series of Updates for churches participating in the Operation Inasmuch event
all across North Carolina on April 24 and May 1, 2010. The Biblical Recorder
will be providing articles leading up to the event to help with planning,
project ideas and other helpful information.

- Projects/volunteers
tracking process in place (use spreadsheet on Resource DVD that comes with book
on Operation Inasmuch)
- Date of Project Leaders
meeting (ca. 2 weeks prior to your Inasmuch) set and agenda in process
- Promotion beginning with
video/testimonies/posters in place (more content than “Save the date”
announcements); announce sign-up period; distribute list of available projects
to membership one week prior to start of sign-ups
- Cast a compelling vision
to your congregation of what you believe God wants to accomplish through your
church in Inasmuch
- Kickoff and celebration
gatherings plans 75 percent complete
Project Idea — (for
seniors) Write letters to persons incarcerated in local jail
- Obtain permission and do’s
and don’ts for such letter writing from sheriff or warden
- Obtain names of
incarcerated two days prior to Inasmuch so your list is as up-to-date as
possible
- Gather volunteers in a
home or at church day of Inasmuch. Letters should be hand-written
- Include encouraging
pictures from children, Bible verses, written prayers (perhaps prepared by
different volunteers)
