The North Carolina chapter of Campers on Mission (NC-COM) has worked for nearly 12,000 hours at ministry events this year.

Campers On Mission (COM) is a group of Christian Campers who share the gospel as they go. NC-COM is one of the state chapters offering Christians of all denominations the opportunity for fellowship and service. The campers go as missionaries from their churches, using the group for organization, fellowship and training.

About 72 members of the N.C. group have worked at 34 events this year. Leaders of the group expect to be close to last year's total of 111 different individuals working at 1,444 events.

Women in NC-COM made stuffed bears for the Dental Bus at the Western N.C. Fair. Some NC-COM members cooked for youth camp at Cale Retreat and Conference Center in Hertford. Some men in the group built a gazebo there.

NC-COM members also hold Vacation Bible Schools and serve as chaplains at campgrounds. They also minister through disaster relief and construction projects and work at festivals and fairs.
