CARY, N.C. – Baptist State Convention of North Carolina officials are encouraging those planning to attend November’s annual meeting in Greensboro to make their hotel reservations by Oct. 3 to take advantage of a special discounted rate at the host hotel.
N.C. Baptists can receive a special rate of $99 per night at the Sheraton Four Seasons for their hotel stay during the annual meeting, but that offer ends Tuesday, Oct. 3, and cannot be extended.
The discounted rate being offered to N.C. Baptists is about half of the cost of the starting point of a regular night’s stay. A search of the hotel’s website without the N.C. Baptist discount showed that the average room rate during the annual meeting ranged from $185 to $280 per night plus taxes and fees, depending on the room selection.
Convention officials said the length of the time that the discounted room rate is offered is set by the hotel.
“We encourage all N.C. Baptists who wish to stay at the host hotel to make their reservations as soon as possible so they don’t miss out on this special rate,” said John Butler, director of operations for N.C. Baptists. “Please help spread the word about the rate deadline to members of your congregation and others who may be in your network of pastors and ministry leaders.”
The discounted rate is available through a special link on the annual meeting website that is available at ncbaptist.org/annual-meeting/hotel/.
This year’s N.C. Baptist annual meeting is scheduled for Nov. 6-7 at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro. The meeting is preceded by the annual N.C. Baptist Pastors’ Conference on Nov. 5-6.
Staying at the host hotel provides access to all of the meetings and events under one roof.
