Josh Fraley, lead pastor of Euto Baptist Church in Marshville, will be nominated for vice president of the 2025 N.C. Baptist Pastors’ Conference during this year’s event.
Chris Griggs, lead pastor of First Baptist Church of Welcome, plans to make the nomination during this year’s conference, which is scheduled for Nov. 5-6 at the Joseph S. Koury Convention Center in Greensboro. The conference is being held prior to the N.C. Baptist annual meeting.
“I intend to nominate Josh because he is not only a faithful pastor, but he knows what it is like to deal with some of the difficulties and doubts that all pastors face from time to time.” Griggs said. “He has also been committed to church revitalization and by God’s grace is seeing good gospel fruit from those efforts. His heart for the local church and for fellow pastors makes him an ideal candidate to serve the pastors’ conference well in the next year.”
Fraley has served at Euto Baptist Church for a total of eight and a half years. He became the church’s lead pastor in 2019 after previously serving as the student pastor beginning in 2015. During his tenure, Fraley has led Euto Baptist to build two sister churches in Africa.
Fraley is active in N.C. Baptist life through service on the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina’s board of directors and on various committees with the Union Baptist Association, which is based in Monroe. He also serves on the advisory boards for the The Institute of Theology and Missions, as well as the City Residency Project.
Fraley said he is passionate about expository preaching, family ministry, church revitalization and endurance in ministry. If elected, Fraley said his goal would be to exhort and encourage pastors in their calling.
“Pastors are tasked with the highest calling on earth which is to equip the saints for the work of ministry,” Fraley said. “For pastors to do that effectively and continuously, they need to be regularly exhorted and encouraged to maintain sound doctrine and to keep preaching the Word with conviction and passion.”
Fraley is a graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible College and Southern Evangelical Seminary, which is based in Charlotte. He is also an alumnus of the Tarheel Leadership Network.
Fraley has been married to his wife, Maleah, for 17 years, and they have four children.
Fraley is the first announced candidate for the position of vice president for the 2025 N.C. Baptist Pastors’ Conference. Elections for pastors’ conference leadership positions are typically held two years in advance.
