Mount Home Baptist Church, Morganton, NC is seeking a full-time Minister of Music, Worship and Education Pastor to provide spiritual leadership and guidance to members of our church and the community. The ultimate job of every staff member at Mount Home Baptist Church shall be to help our church reach people for Jesus Christ and to disciple these people into mature Christian servants. Evangelism shall be a priority for every staff person.
Mount Home has a rich history of over 150 years of serving its community of Burke County. While celebrating the legacy of the past and saints who have gone before us, today Mount Home is excited about being poised and in position to see God continue to reach our community and beyond. Our church is richly blessed through multi-generational worship and cooperation, as well as love for families and the next generation.
The Minister of Music, Worship and Education leads the church in a ministry that will inspire and enhance congregational worship and fellowship. He will engage all age levels in a variety of music experiences and promote Biblical education that enhances personal worship and spiritual growth.
We affirm biblical qualifications as laid out in 1 Timothy 3:1-7: “This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. Moreover, he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.”
