N.C. disaster relief crews deploy in twister’s wake

More than 1,000 homes, businesses, churches and schools were damaged or destroyed when tornadoes with winds approaching 135 miles per hour swept through Guilford and Rockingham counties April 15. North Carolina Baptists on Mission responded quickly to the disaster, setting up two sites. By April 17, 10 projects had been completed.

LINK Conference: ‘A catalyst toward change’ in multicultural ministry

Celebrated N.C. Baptist, Bordeaux, dead at 64

C.J. Bordeaux, 64, died April 25 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, N.C. from complications related to an infection. He was director of missions for the Pee Dee Baptist Association in Rockingham. Bordeaux “demonstrated a deep love” for churches and pastors, said Lester Evans.
