Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, located in Forest City N.C., is seeking a full-time ordained pastor. Our church was established 1832 and is a member of the Green River Baptist Association and Baptist State Convention of NC. Average Sunday worship attendance is 70.

Position entails leading Sunday morning/evening worship service and Wednesday evening Bible studies. Duties include, but are not limited to, pastoring/shepherding the church by reaching out to the members while possessing a well-developed personal vision for the future of the church. The candidate should also be a gifted teacher and effective communicator of well-prepared sermons.  Preferred educational requirements are Masters of Divinity with 5+ years of prior pastoral experience.
