The Biblical Recorder’s board of directors announced today that Allan Blume, former editor and president of the Recorder, will serve as interim editor beginning next Monday, Oct. 18.

Blume previously led the Recorder from 2011 to 2019.

The full statement from the board follows:

“The Board of Directors of the Biblical Recorder is pleased to announce Rev. Allan Blume as Interim Editor of the Recorder. Blume’s ministry among North Carolina Baptists as a pastor and past editor of the BR makes him the ideal transitional leader for the organization. Blume will begin this part-time role Oct. 18 and will represent the Recorder at the annual meeting of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina in Greensboro on Nov. 8-9.”
