Charles Boswell, director of Pastoral Care and Church Health for the Colorado Baptist General Convention, will be nominated for treasurer of the 2022 Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) Pastors’ Conference.
Tim Ohls, pastor of Believers Baptist Church in Wichita, Kan., has announced his intention to nominate Boswell during the upcoming Send Conference preceding the 2021 SBC annual meeting in Nashville. His nomination will join others as part of the Pastors Track on Monday, June 14. The 2022 Pastors Conference will take place in Anaheim, Calif., in conjunction with next year’s SBC Annual Meeting.
Ohls described Boswell, who also is interim pastor at Riverside Baptist Church in Denver, as “a friend to pastors with a heart for church planting and Kingdom growth. He is one of those guys who will always make time to come alongside struggling ministers to pray, encourage and uplift. As the son of a pastor and the father of two pastors, he has a heart for those in the trenches.”
Boswell grew up on the mission field in Brazil, is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University and holds a master’s and a doctorate from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Patti have three children and 11 grandchildren.
