DALLAS (BP) — Messengers and guests to the 2025 Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) annual meeting will be greeted with complimentary shuttle services from convention-contracted hotels to the convention center and nearby related events.
“Due to the rise in messenger counts over the past few years at the SBC annual meeting and Pastors’ Conference, we have started partnering with hotels further from the convention center than in years past,” said Jonathan Howe, SBC vice president for convention administration.
“As a result, we will be offering shuttles for those messengers who choose to stay outside of the immediate area around the convention center to allow them expedited access to the annual meeting without having to worry about parking costs,” he said.
Reservation for convention-contracted hotels opens Monday, Oct. 7, at noon EDT and can be found on the annual meeting website. A map showing hotel options and their distance from the convention center is also available.
Howe says the shuttles will provide transportation to the convention center and help messengers and guests get close to events at nearby locations.
“We anticipate running shuttles from the medical center and market center areas north of downtown as well as from any downtown area hotels that are outside of a reasonable walking distance from the convention center,” he said.
The shuttle should be readily available to get messengers and guests where they need to go on time.
“With the addition of shuttles, every messenger will be able to make it to and from all convention events held in and around the convention center and Omni Hotel in a timely fashion,” Howe said.
The 2025 SBC annual meeting and Pastors’ Conference is set for June 8-11 at the K. Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas.
