Pastor and evangelist Greg Laurie has recovered from COVID-19, he announced in a Facebook video Oct. 9.
Laurie learned he had been infected Oct. 2. He had attended a prayer march in Washington D.C. hosted by evangelist Franklin Graham Sept. 26. He also attended President Donald Trump’s announcement of Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett at the White House later that day. Laurie wore a mask to both events, CBN News reported.
“So many of you have taken the time to pray for me and have let me know you’re praying for me,” Laurie said in the Oct. 9 video. “So I’m happy to report that I’m doing great and I feel great. The fact of the matter is my symptoms were never that bad. Thank God for that. I know it isn’t that way for everyone, but it was for me, and I attribute that to so many people praying.”
Laurie said he has completed his 10-day period of isolation and is “feeling good.” He plans to return to the pulpit at Harvest Christian Fellowship Oct. 18.
“Let’s remember to continue to pray for all of those who have been infected with the coronavirus that they too would have a quick and complete recovery,” he said.
