Mark Clifton, director of replanting at the North American Mission Board, announced in a Facebook video Dec. 17 that more than 200 Southern Baptist churches recovered from the brink of closure in 2019.

“God has heard the prayers of His people … and He is indeed revitalizing and reclaiming His dying churches,” Clifton said, adding that God is using local associations, state conventions and pastors to carry out the ministry.
