CUMMING, Ga. (BP) — Reggie Joiner, founder of Orange, and CEO Kristen Ivey have voluntarily resigned their respective posts effective immediately, according to an email sent to ministry partners today.
The group is best known for its popular Orange church resources and conferences that are highly attended by younger pastors and ministry leaders.
The email said Joiner had “admitted to past inappropriate adult relationships, which violated our company policy and eroded trust within our organization.”
Ivey disclosed a “past inappropriate relationship” with Joiner during that investigation, it added. The spring Orange Conference will take place April 23-25 in Duluth, Ga.
The email is signed by coard chair Joel Manby and Jennifer Barnes, board special governance chair.
“While we do not have a definitive timeline for hiring a CEO, we assure you we are committed to moving forward thoughtfully and diligently, keeping in mind what is best for Orange, our partners, and – above all – our mission,” it said.
Orange was founded in 1996 to support “churches and families as they nurture the faith and future of the next generation,” according to its website, and claims partnership with some 10,000 leaders during 2022-23.
