Stories related to the leadership of the Southern Baptist Convention’s (SBC) Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) take three of the spots in our top 12 most read stories. Jeff Iorg’s nomination to lead the SBC Executive Committee (EC) and Tennessee pastor Steve Gaines’ decision to begin a transition out of pastoral ministry also made the list. In June, Southern Baptists narrowly voted down the so-called Law Amendment. That story came in at No. 6.
