Cameron McGill: Where there's a wheel, there's a way
K. Allan Blume BR Editor | Missionaries need our partnership In the past few days I have received countless emails from friends who serve overseas through the International Mission Board (IMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention. They serve in many different parts of the globe in a variety of cultures. While each had unique stories to share about the impact of the gospel in their community, they all had the same message: "Thank you very much for your generous gifts through the Cooperative Program and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering" (LMCO). Not one of them lives in an extravagant home, drives a luxury car or has a personal jet. They live modestly and sacrificially, often sharing their food and clothing with those in need around them. During this week of prayer for international missions, please pray for these partners in the gospel and the people they are trying to reach. Prayer resources are available here if you did not receive them in your church last Sunday. And, as you pray, ask God what He wants you to give to this year’s LMCO. Just ask. Don’t try to figure out what fits into your budget. Ask God to provide a generous gift through you. Read more about this important offering in my column in this week’s edition of the Biblical Recorder. Your gifts will provide half of the mission support for your IMB missionaries. Let's give very generously. Visit us on Facebook and "like" us! Email me: editor@BRnow.org |
